What began as a conversation with a local farmer about what to do with a recent harvest of triticale grain, Headwaters Whiskey has turned into an award-winning spirit and what our loyal customers now call their "utility" bottle. Triticale (trit-ih-KAY-lee) is a wheat-rye hybrid that was developed in the late 1800s, and the unique grain imparts an apple and pear character that is a touch lighter and sweeter than other white whiskeys. Remarkable neat or over ice, Headwaters maintains a traditional whiskey finish and is an excellent choice for mixed drinks.
